Four days for a tight friend-group ready to climb the highest peak in Coorg, drink the coffee they help pluck the next morning, and toast the trip with home-distilled Coorgi orange wine. The crew of six to twelve sleeps in a planters-bungalow homestay, takes on the Tadiandamol summit (1,748 m) at first light on Day 2, and earns the rest of the trip, falls swim at Mallalli, an evening at the local microbrewery, a private bonfire over the ridge. Built deliberately for groups: split rooms, shared activity costs, and a flexible Day 3 the team votes on between river-rafting on the Barapole and a deeper trek to Kotebetta.

Day-by-day Itinerary
4-day plan with pace, stay, transfers and meals on each day. Swap, slow down, or add anything, every day is editable before you pay.
Pick-up at 6:00 AM, we'll catch breakfast at Empire on the highway near Mysuru. Reach the bungalow by 14:00 and let the planter give the group a 30-minute estate-walk. Trek brief at 18:00 (route, kit, water, summit timing). Dinner Coorgi-style with pandi curry and akki rotti, full veg parallel for whoever wants. Lights out by 22:00, the next day's a 4 AM start.
4:00 AM start, 5:00 AM at Nalknad Palace trail-head with packed breakfast. The climb is 7 km one-way through shola forests and grassland; the last 30 minutes are exposed and steep. Summit by 8-9 AM, the view of the Brahmagiri range and on a clear day the Arabian Sea stretches west. Down by 13:00, late lunch (own) at a roadside Coorgi shack. Afternoon: drive to Mallalli Falls, a 200-ft cataract with a swim-hole at the base in dry months. Back to the bungalow by 18:30. Bonfire, orange-wine tasting (responsibly served), dinner.
The group votes the night before. Option A: Barapole rafting, 7 km, 7 rapids (Grade II-III), 6 AM start; back by 13:00. Option B: Kotebetta peak walk and the rope-bridge-and-coffee-ridge trail; back by 14:00. Either way, lunch (own) on return. Afternoon: Iruppu Falls and Talacauvery / Bhagamandala. Evening at the microbrewery near Madikeri, a six-tap board with house IPAs and a Coorgi orange-wheat. Late dinner at the bungalow.
A planter-led plantation walk and roastery cupping at 7:00 AM, the group buys fresh-roast pouches to take home (the homestay packs them). Late breakfast, check-out by 11:00 and the drop. We time the road to clear Mysuru by 17:00 so Bengaluru drops happen by 21:00 latest.

Tadiandamol is an intermediate-grade climb, 14 km round-trip, 800 m elevation gain. If you can comfortably do 6 km hill-walking with a daypack, you're fine. The exposed 30-minute summit push is steep but no hands-on scrambling. We'll send a 2-week pre-trek prep PDF after booking; one in our group regularly takes 50-60-year-olds up successfully.
Grade II-III, 7 km, 7 rapids over 90 minutes on the river. International Rafting Federation-accredited operators run it (we work with Coorg Rapid Adventures and Live Adventure). Self-bailing rafts, professional rescue kayakers, dry-bag for valuables. Anyone non-swimmer can do it, we just put them in the front-most position with the lead paddler beside.
Two-twin and triple-share rooms work cleanly for 8-9 people. For 10-12, we add the flexible-tent option in the courtyard (canvas tent over a wooden deck, mattress and bedding inside, shared bathroom 30 m away). It's not a hardship-tent, it's a designed glamping option with our group bookings in mind.
Yes, the bungalow's a private property, no licence concerns. Coorgi orange wine and home-brewed kashaya are served on the bonfire night (one round on the house). Beyond that, you're welcome to bring your own. We'll point you to a Karnataka MSIL store on the route in if you want to load up before reaching.
Light rain we trek through (with rain-shells and a slower summit timing). Heavy rain or thunderstorm in forecast, we shift to Day 3 and substitute a Day 2 of estate-and-falls. The trek leader makes the call by 5 AM on the day, prioritising safety. We never push a summit attempt in lightning conditions; that's non-negotiable.
