Day-by-day Itinerary
Your journey, unfolded.
- DAY 1
Day 1: Arrive Dehradun — Yatra Briefing
Arrive Dehradun (by flight or Shatabdi from Delhi). Transfer to hotel. Evening briefing by yatra manager: helicopter protocol, weather contingency plans, temple timing at each dham, dress code, puja items to carry. Early dinner, early sleep.
- DAY 2
Day 2: Dehradun → Kharsali (Yamunotri) → Harsil (Gangotri)
5:30am transfer to Sahastradhara Helipad. Board helicopter to Kharsali (nearest helipad to Yamunotri, 5km). Short 1km walk (or palki) to Yamunotri Temple. Darshan, ritual rice-cooking in Surya Kund hot spring, aarti. Return to Kharsali. Board helicopter to Harsil (Gangotri zone). Drive 20km or short hop to Gangotri. Temple darshan and aarti. Overnight at premium hotel near Gangotri or Harsil.
- DAY 3
Day 3: Gangotri Morning + Fly to Kedarnath (Phata/Sersi)
5am Gangotri Temple morning aarti — the Bhagirathi thunders beside the temple. Return to helipad. Fly to Phata or Sersi helipad (Kedarnath zone). 15-minute flight to Kedarnath Helipad. Walk 500m to the temple. Extended darshan time arranged (2-3 hours). Abhishek if booked. The ancient stone temple surrounded by snow peaks and glaciers is overwhelming. Return helicopter to Phata. Drive to premium guesthouse at Guptkashi.
- DAY 4
Day 4: Drive Guptkashi → Badrinath (210km, ~5hrs)
Drive through Rudraprayag confluence, Chamoli, and Joshimath. Check in premium Badrinath hotel. Afternoon: Tapt Kund dip, evening aarti. Mana Village drive (last Indian village, 3km from temple) — Vyas Gufa, Bheem Pul, Saraswati River disappears underground. Overnight Badrinath.
- DAY 5
Day 5: Badrinath Brahm Muhurta + Vasudhara Falls
4am: Brahm Muhurta darshan at Badrinath Temple — the most auspicious time of day. Lord Vishnu in padmasana (lotus seat). Tapt Kund. Morning free. Trek to Vasudhara Falls (5km from Mana, 4hrs round trip, optional for those with energy). Afternoon drive to Joshimath or Rishikesh.
- DAY 6
Day 6: Return Dehradun — Trip Ends
Drive to Dehradun or Haridwar. Transfer to airport or station. Char Dham Yatra by helicopter complete. The yatra has taken you to the four corners of the sacred Garhwal in 6 days. Trip ends.
