Four nights in Hong Kong + a day-trip to Macau for the solo traveller who wants a city short-haul that punches above its visa-difficulty/weight, dim sum every meal, the Peak skyline at sunset, the Star Ferry at golden hour, Lantau's Big Buddha, and one full day across the Pearl River Delta in Macau (Senado Square cobblestones, Ruins of St. Paul's, the Venetian's indoor canals). Base in Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon side), 4-star hotel with a sky-line-side room, 5 minutes' walk to the Star Ferry pier and the Avenue of Stars. We pre-load an Octopus card so transit is plug-and-play, hand you a printed solo-friendly map of dim sum favourites + photogenic neighbourhoods + safe night-out spots, and stay on WhatsApp for any moment-of-confusion. Hong Kong is one of the easiest Asian cities for a solo traveller, minimal hassle, world-class transit, English on every signboard, dim sum tables that don't blink at a single guest. Solo female travellers handled the same way; we use stays with 24-hour reception and pre-vet the late-night spots.

End of trip
4-star hotel on Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, 200m to TST MTR, 500m to Star Ferry pier, 700m to the Avenue of Stars promenade. Single rooms (where solo bookings get the better rate) are 22-26 sqm with proper bath, work desk, espresso machine, walk-in shower. Breakfast buffet 06:30-10:30: international + Asian + Indian options. 24-hour reception with English-speaking staff. Wi-Fi free in room and lobby. Hotel restaurant for late-night room service. Solo female travellers: we book a single occupancy room on a higher floor and request the room block away from the lift bank, quieter. Octopus cards held at front desk. The hotel is genuinely well-located for the 4-night plan, you'll walk in and out 6 times a day.

Among the safest Asian cities for solo female travellers, better than Bangkok, Singapore, even Tokyo by some travellers' takes. Public transit is clean and well-lit till 1am, MTR has CCTV everywhere, locals are reserved but helpful. Stick to lit roads after midnight (TST and Central are fine; some Mong Kok back-lanes get sketchy). Don't ride hostel-style late-night buses alone past 1am. Both hotels we use have 24-hour reception. The LKF bar district is fine for solo women but avoid drinks from strangers. We're on WhatsApp 24/7, message if anything feels off.
Honest answer: Macau is genuinely worth one full day. The Portuguese-Chinese cobblestone old town (Senado Square + Ruins of St. Paul's) is unlike anywhere else in Asia, and the Venetian's indoor Grand Canal is a tourist trap that's still photogenic. The 1-hour ferry each way is fine, you watch a movie, nap. If you've been to mainland China before, the cultural-mash element matters less; if not, it's a one-of-a-kind day. For a 4-night Hong Kong trip, including Macau gives you 'two countries on one trip' bragging rights. Most solo travellers say yes to it.

Standard hotel check-in is 1.30 PM and check-out 10 AM. For questions specific to your booking, message your planner.
Yes, unequivocally. Octopus is Hong Kong's contactless transit + payment card, used for MTR, buses, Star Ferry, 7-Eleven, vending machines, and most cafes. Without it you'd be buying single-trip tickets at every station and queueing every time. We pre-load HK$300 (covers 4 days easily) and have it waiting at the hotel front desk on arrival. Top-up at any MTR station if you run out. Can be returned for the deposit refund at the airport (HK$50 refund minus a small fee), or kept as a souvenir.
Yes, easily. TST has 6+ Indian restaurants we recommend: Bombay Dreams (Wyndham Street), Chutney Mary, Khyber Pass, Gaylord. Most are in Tsim Sha Tsui within 10-min walk of your hotel. Tim Ho Wan + Po Lin Monastery + cha chaan teng have plenty of veg options too. For Jain we send 2 specific spots that handle Jain on advance request. Solo travellers eating dinner alone is genuinely fine in Hong Kong, dim sum culture is built around quick efficient meals, no judgment for a single guest.
Realistic add-on budget for a 4-night solo trip: 5 lunches at ₹800-1,200 each (₹4k-6k), 3 free dinners at ₹1,000-2,000 each (₹3k-6k), 1 LKF night drinks (₹1,500-2,500), shopping at Ladies Market (₹1,500-3,000), tips and small expenses (₹500-1,000). Total ₹10,500-18,500 on top of the package. We tell solo travellers to budget ₹84k-92k all-in. Hong Kong is expensive but you eat well at every price point.
