- DAY 1
Days 1-2: Leh — Arrival & Acclimatization
Arrive Leh. Stay Grand Dragon. Day 1 complete rest. Day 2: Leh palace, market, shanti stupa. Photography briefing with guide.
- DAY 2
Day 3: Leh → Alchi → Lamayuru → Kargil
Alchi Monastery — 11th century frescoes, extraordinary detail. Lamayuru moonland. Arrive Kargil. Heritage guesthouse.
- DAY 3
Day 4: Kargil → Rangdum → Pensi La → Padum
Rangdum Monastery at glacial plateau. Pensi La (4,401m). Arrive Padum. Best guesthouse.
- DAY 4
Day 5: Karsha Gompa Dawn & Stongdey Afternoon
6am departure for Karsha dawn prayers. Stongdey Monastery afternoon — perched on rock 800m above valley. Sunset photography session.
- DAY 5
Day 6: Phugtal Monastery — Private Full Day
Arranged private access with senior monk. Trek 1.5hrs. 3 hours at the monastery including cave meditation cells and 500-year-old library. Guide photographs the whole experience.
- DAY 6
Day 7: Sani Gompa & Cultural Evening
Sani Gompa morning. Afternoon: visit with a Zanskari elder family arranged by guide — traditional lunch, local music, explanation of Zanskar history by elder who remembers the valley before the road arrived. Evening with the stars.
- DAY 7
Day 8: Zanskar River — Rafting Camp Day 1
Pack for river. Put-in at Padum. Raft 20km into the canyon. Camp on sandy beach.
- DAY 8
Day 9: Zanskar River — Rafting Camp Day 2
Full canyon day. Class III-IV Pishu section. Camp at Pishu beach. Bonfire inside gorge.
- DAY 9
Day 10: River to Chilling — Return to Leh
Final river section. Confluence with Indus. Drive Leh. Grand Dragon farewell dinner.

Day 11: Leh Departure
Free morning. Transfer airport. Trip ends.
