Driver meets you at DPS Gate 1, 75-minute drive north to Fivelements via the southern paddy belt. Check-in at 14:00; the host walks you through the villa, plant-based kitchen, and river deck. Welcome herbal drink at sunset. Light vegan dinner if you want, otherwise rest. We don't programme day one, jet-lag wins.
06:00 wake. Driver to Yoga Barn for the 07:00 hatha class, 75 minutes, all levels. Breakfast at Alchemy Cafe (raw vegan, the Buddha bowl is the standard order). Slow midday at the retreat, swim in the river plunge pool. 16:00 Balian healing consultation, traditional Balinese reading, 90 minutes; bring a journal. Quiet evening, in-room massage available on request.
Slow start. 09:00 driver to Tegallalang, walk the upper rim path before the buses arrive at 10:30. Late breakfast at Tegal Sari overlooking the paddy. Lunch on your own in Ubud town, we like Locavore-To-Go for grain bowls or Bali Bali for warungs. 16:00 sound bath at Pyramids of Chi, 60-minute session in a copper pyramid, the goosebumps are real. Dinner at Mosaic if you want a treat, or Watercress for the simple version.

Fivelements' kitchen is plant-based, but eggs and chicken are available on request without judgment. Outside the retreat, Ubud has every diet covered, raw vegan, vegetarian, halal, gluten-free, eggs-on-everything. Tell us your hard 'no's' and we share a curated cafe list.
Yes. Day 3 afternoon and Day 4 morning are unstructured, enough for the Sacred Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, the art market, and one or two cafes. Mornings before yoga are quiet; the town wakes up around 10.
A Balian is a traditional Balinese healer, think reading + bodywork + ritual offering. The 90-minute session begins with a brief Q&A, moves through pulse and energy diagnosis, and ends with a personalised offering and prayer. It's intimate; our priest speaks fluent English. Many guests cry; many laugh; some dismiss it. All are welcome.
Yes. Nothing is mandatory, if you sleep through the dawn yoga, you sleep through. The cooking class and Tirta Empul are time-locked (we book the priest); everything else is opt-in. We stop checking on you after Day 2 unless you want us to.
