Yes, with the right river. Ayung is a Class II family-grade run, small bouncy rapids, no drops, full-cover life vests, helmet, qualified guides. We allow kids age 7+ on Ayung; under-7s do the parallel calmer Telaga Waja float. Babies under 2 stay at the basecamp pool with one parent.
Yes, we pre-flag veg/Jain on Day 0 with both hotels and the cooking-class chef. Indian veg breakfast (paratha, dal, idli) is standard at Alaya. Mulia has a dedicated Indian station at breakfast. Jain (no onion, garlic, root veg) needs 24-hour notice; we do this for you when we confirm the trip.
The Bird Park and Monkey Forest yes; the Ubud Palace less. We've built the trip so day 5 and 6 lean beach, kids' club, and pool, the cultural intensity is front-loaded when energy is high. Tell us your child's age range and we re-paced the activities for free.
Mulia's is excellent, trained staff, age-segmented (4–7 and 8–12), arts and pool activities, no extra charge. We don't recommend dropping under-4s alone. The Ubud villa has a daily Balinese arts class (mask painting, gamelan) that kids can join with a parent.
Yes, we can swap to the Telaga Waja calmer float (suitable for kids 5+), a beach day at Mulia, or Bali Safari (lions and elephants, kids 4+). Same package, no price change for the swap.
