DPS pickup, run a single van for groups up to 8, two for 9–12. 75-minute drive north to Komaneka. Check-in at 14:00. Pool deck for the recovery hour. Welcome dinner at 19:00, warung-style group set menu, included. We keep day one short, Batur trek tomorrow starts at 02:00.
02:00 pickup. 90-minute drive to the Batur trailhead at Toya Bungkah. 04:00 start, head-torches on, 2-hour ascent to the 1,717m summit through volcanic gravel. Sunrise at 06:15 over Lake Batur and the Lombok strait. Hot tea, banana sandwich, eggs cooked on a steam vent. 08:00 descent. Back at Komaneka by 11:30, pool, nap, late lunch (paid direct). Quiet evening.
08:30 transfer to Ayung put-in. Wetsuit, helmet, life vest, safety briefing 09:30, on-water by 10:00. ~2 hours of Class II/III through jungle gorge, our guides know the eddies, the photo op at the carved cliff, and which rapids the group should portage. Buffet lunch at takeout (included). Afternoon Tegallalang rice terrace walk, group photo on the upper rim. A planner, not a call centre.
Moderate. The 2-hour ascent is steep volcanic gravel, head-torch only, if you can do a 4 km uphill walk at home, you'll do Batur. The descent is harder than the up. We don't recommend it for anyone with knee issues or unmanaged asthma. Anyone in the group can opt out and join a cafe-and-pool morning at the resort.
No problem, we drop them at Ubud Palace and the art market for the morning, pick them up for lunch at Tegal Sari. Same package price. Just tell us 24 hours ahead so the rafting headcount and gear are right.
We book private terrace tables for groups of 6+, with a fixed menu pre-confirmed by the host. Day 1 is a warung-style welcome (rice paddy view); Day 4 (cooking class result) is the most-photographed dinner of the trip. Other dinners are open, we share three group-friendly cafes per night, you pick.
Yes, the Day 6 morning is open. Common adds: Bali Swing on the Tegallalang ridge (₹1,800 each, 30 min), an ATV ride (₹2,800 each, 90 min), or a Finns Beach Club afternoon (₹2,000 entry credit). We share fixed group-rate prices, no markup.
Each traveler does the Indonesia VOA on arrival (IDR 500k). For the group, we recommend confirming the trip at least 60 days out, Komaneka holds 6 group rooms per week max, and Mount Batur trekking permits are issued 14 days ahead. We handle both.
