Six days for families doing Do-Dham (Kedarnath + Badrinath) the comfortable way, helicopter to Kedarnath from Phata, road to Badrinath via Joshimath, no 16-km treks for the kids or grandparents. We hold three nights at private 4-star hotels (Char Dham Camp Resort Guptkashi, Hotel Ananda Inn Joshimath) and two nights at Hotel Solitaire Dehradun pre/post yatra. VIP darshan slots at both temples. Pure-veg meals throughout. Aadhaar registration handled. We pace it for kids 8+ and seniors 65+, no day starts before 06:00, no day ends after 21:00, every transit has a 60-minute lunch break. The family Do-Dham our planners recommend over the full 4-Dham for first-timers and multi-generational groups.

Yes, from age 5 upward. Kids 5–12 fly at 50% of adult fare. Below 5, the operator's policy varies, we book infants on parent's lap (no separate seat), age 2–4 require a separate paid seat. Strollers don't fit in the helicopter; we leave them at Hotel Solitaire (we hold rooms). The 7-minute flight ascent is rapid, we give kids juice + glucose biscuits 30 min before to settle stomachs.
With doctor's clearance, yes. Kedarnath at 3,583m is high; altitude sickness affects ~5% of unprepared yatris. Our protocol: (1) Diamox 125mg starting 24h before the flight, (2) the SpO2 check at the helipad (we provide a pulse oximeter), (3) oxygen canister included for the helipad-to-temple walk, (4) brief darshan only, not 60+ min lingering on the temple grounds. We've flown 78-year-old yatris on this exact circuit; we've also turned away one with uncontrolled BP. Don't hide medical history.
Yes, with 7-day notice. All hotels (Solitaire, Char Dham Camp Resort, Ananda Inn) have Jain-protocol kitchens that prepare without onion, garlic, root vegetables. Helipad and temple-area mess halls are universally pure-veg but not Jain-clean (cross-contamination); we pack a Jain dabba option for those meals. Family Jain group of 4: ₹1,500 surcharge across the trip.
Yes, we offer a 7N/8D Family Char Dham variant that adds those two dhams. It needs an extra 36-hour road loop (Barkot → Janki Chatti for Yamunotri trek → Uttarkashi → Gangotri). For families with kids 8–12, the Yamunotri 6-km pony trek is fine; below 8, we'd skip that dham. Tell your TAT planner; we re-quote at ₹37k/family more.
We carry oxygen canisters and an altitude-sickness first-aid kit (Diamox, Avomine, glucose) with the chauffeur. Hotel Ananda Inn Joshimath has an on-call paediatrician (₹300 visit, covered by your travel insurance). The closest hospital is Joshimath District Hospital (15 min from the hotel). Most kids' altitude reactions resolve in 4 hours with rest, fluids, oxygen. We've handled three paediatric AMS cases in 2024; none escalated.
