Five days in Siem Reap for solo travellers, the temple-and-tuk-tuk version of Cambodia, designed for travellers who'd rather meet other backpackers in a hostel courtyard than be chauffeured around solo. We hold four nights at Onederz Siem Reap, a 9.4-rated hostel with a rooftop pool, a women-only dorm option, and a daily 17:00 happy hour where solo travellers actually talk. Private guide for Angkor sunrise on Day 2, sharing a guide solo costs the same as group, and Mr Sopheak knows the corners. Day 3 is yours to wander Pub Street, the Old Market, and Wat Bo neighbourhood. Tonle Sap shared boat ride on Day 4 (you'll meet other solos). Phare Cambodian Circus the night you fly out. Cambodia is the easiest first solo trip in Southeast Asia.

Yes, Siem Reap is one of the safest small cities in Southeast Asia, comparable to Bali or Hoi An. Pub Street area, Old Market, and Wat Bo neighbourhood are all safe to walk till 23:00. Onederz has card-key floors and women-only dorm options. Standard precautions, trusted tuk-tuks back from Pub Street after midnight (we share the WhatsApp contacts), don't accept rides from random scooters. Petty theft (phones from tuk-tuk lap, motorbike snatch) is the main risk; violent crime against tourists is rare. Emergency: 117 (police), 119 (ambulance).
Honest answer, only if you want to be. Onederz runs a daily 17:00 rooftop happy hour and 19:00 family dinner where solo travellers bond over USD 1.50 drafts. Pub Street is wall-to-wall solo travellers. The Tonle Sap shared boat and the cooking class are both 8-12 person experiences that turn into WhatsApp groups. About half the solo travellers we send to Cambodia walk away with a small WhatsApp group from their cohort.
Indian passports need a Cambodia visa, visa-on-arrival at REP airport is the easiest path. USD 30 cash, two passport photos, entry form. Process takes 10 minutes. e-Visa online (USD 36, faster at airport) is the alternative. Tourist visa is single-entry, 30 days. Our planner walks you through this on a WhatsApp call before you fly.
Visa USD 30 (₹2,500), international flight ₹32k–₹48k return depending on month, food USD 15/day (~USD 60 across 4 days = ₹5k), travel insurance ₹1,800, optional cooking class USD 35 (₹3k), Banteay Srei add-on USD 55 (₹4.6k). Realistic total ex-package: ₹45k–₹70k depending on flight and add-ons. Forex: USD 250 cash + a Wise/Niyo card.
We can build a 5N/6D Solo Explorer Premium variant, same FCC Angkor hotel, same Apsara dinner, same Banteay Srei, same Bodia spa as the Couple package. Single-supplement on the FCC room is USD 380 across 5 nights. Total per solo: ₹85k. Tell your TAT planner if that's what you want, we re-quote in 24 hours.
