Land at Leh (11,500 ft) and transfer to your hotel. Full rest day with hot lunch and dinner served at the hotel. Acclimatization is non-negotiable in Ladakh. Short evening stroll to Leh Market if you feel good.
Gentle sightseeing day: Hall of Fame war museum, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam (Indus-Zanskar confluence) and sunset at Shanti Stupa. All meals included.
Cross the mighty Khardung La (17,582 ft) into Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery and the 106-ft Maitreya Buddha, then sunset at the Hunder sand dunes. Overnight in deluxe camp with hot dinner.
Drive the dramatic Shyok route to Pangong Tso (14,270 ft). Evening at leisure by the lake as it shifts through shades of blue. Lakeside cottage stay, dinner under the stars.
Catch the famous Pangong sunrise, then return to Leh over Chang La (17,688 ft) with stops at Thiksey Monastery and Druk White Lotus School. Farewell dinner in Leh.
