Crafting your travel…Ayodhya, Varanasi and Prayagraj from Lucknow — Ram Mandir darshan, Kashi Vishwanath, Triveni Sangam. Short circuit, elder-friendly pacing.
This is the shortest yatra we run, and the one closest to home. Ayodhya is around 135km from Lucknow, Varanasi around 320km, and Prayagraj sits between them — which makes the three-city circuit a comfortable three or four nights rather than a week. For families with elderly relatives who cannot manage the Garhwal altitude, it is usually the right yatra to do first.
The circuit runs Lucknow to Ayodhya for Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi darshan, on to Prayagraj for the Triveni Sangam and Bade Hanuman, then Varanasi for Kashi Vishwanath, the Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh and a dawn boat on the ghats. Sarnath is a half-day addition from Varanasi for groups who want it. No trekking, no altitude, and every temple reachable by road.
Timing matters more than people expect. Ayodhya on Ram Navami and Varanasi on Mahashivratri or during Dev Deepawali are extraordinary and extremely crowded; the same circuit in a quiet week is a completely different trip. We will tell you which one you are booking.
Kashi Vishwanath and Ram Mandir both have queue systems that change with the calendar. We schedule darshan slots against the day you are actually there rather than a generic itinerary, and arrange assisted entry where a group includes elderly or mobility-limited yatris.
No trek, no altitude, short drives between cities, and ground-floor rooms where needed. The longest single drive on the circuit is under five hours. It is the yatra we suggest for families whose parents have been advised against the Char Dham.
Dashashwamedh aarti seating and a sunrise boat on the ghats are arranged in advance with a boatman we use regularly. The difference between a booked aarti seat and turning up is roughly an hour of standing in a crowd.
Brahmin-cooked vegetarian throughout, Jain plans on notice, and a guide in Ayodhya and Varanasi who knows the temple complexes rather than reading from a script. Varanasi's old city is genuinely difficult to navigate without one.
