Crafting your travel…
Confirm any trip with ₹1,947 this Independence WeekHappy Independence Day
From 13 to 16 August you can confirm any Trust and Trip journey with ₹1,947 instead of the usual 30% deposit. Here are five India trips worth planning this long weekend, with real prices and honest trade-offs.

Every year the middle of August does something to the calendar. Offices go quiet, families gather, and a lot of us finally look up the trip we have been putting off since January. This year the 15th falls on a Saturday, which turns a national holiday into a proper long weekend.
We wanted to mark the week without turning it into a shouting match of discounts. So we changed one thing instead of ten.
Between 13 and 16 August, you can confirm any Trust and Trip journey by paying ₹1,947 instead of the usual 30% deposit.
That is the entire offer. The price of your trip does not change. The balance is due as normal before you travel. The only thing that moves is how much you need to part with today to hold your dates, your hotels and your planner.
Here is why that matters in practice. On the budget Ladakh trip below, two travellers would normally pay about ₹9,300 up front. On the Kerala Ayurveda retreat, two travellers would normally pay around ₹29,400. This week both are ₹1,947.
"Locking a trip should not require the same conversation with your bank as buying it."
The deposit has to reach us by 11:59pm IST on 16 August. After that, the standing 30% rule comes back on its own.
These five sit together in one place, Freedom Trails. They are not the cheapest things we sell. They are the ones our planners kept recommending when we asked what they would book for themselves in August and September.
Classic Ladakh Tour, 5 days and 4 nights covers Leh, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake without pretending you can do all three comfortably in less time.
Be honest with yourself about altitude. Leh sits at roughly 3,500 metres and the first day is for doing very little. The drive to Pangong is long and the road is not gentle. What you get in return is a landscape that does not look like anywhere else in the country, and a night beside a lake that changes colour through the afternoon.
August and September are the last comfortable months before the passes get difficult.
Varanasi 5N/6D Pilgrimage Escape is built around the two hours that matter most in that city: the boat out on the Ganga before sunrise, and the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh in the evening.
Five nights is longer than most people give Varanasi, and that is deliberate. The city rewards the second and third morning far more than the first. It gives you time for Sarnath, for the weavers in Madanpura, and for the long unhurried afternoon that Varanasi is actually made of.
Most people book Kerala between November and February, which is exactly why Monsoon Magic Kerala is worth a look now.
Munnar in the rain is green in a way it simply is not in December. The waterfalls around Athirappilly are full rather than polite. Hotel rates are lower, the tea estates are close to empty, and the Alleppey backwaters are quieter than you will ever see them in season.
The trade-off is real and we will not talk you out of it: you will get wet, some viewpoints will be inside a cloud, and boat schedules can shift. If that sounds like a problem, book Kerala in January instead and we will plan that happily.
Ladakh with Siachen Base Camp adds a night and pushes past the usual Leh circuit toward the Nubra side and the base camp road.
This is the harder of our two Ladakh trips, and it suits people who have either been to altitude before or are genuinely willing to spend the first 48 hours acclimatising properly. Permits and timings are handled by our on-ground team, because in that part of the country they change and you do not want to be finding that out yourself at a checkpoint.
Kerala Monsoon Ayurveda Retreat exists because of one bit of local knowledge that surprises most visitors: the monsoon is the traditional Ayurveda season in Kerala, not the winter.
The reasoning is old and practical. Cooler air and higher humidity are considered better conditions for the body to absorb oils and for treatments to hold. Karkidakam, the Malayalam month that falls roughly across July and August, is when a lot of Kerala families do their own annual treatment. You are travelling with the local calendar rather than against it.
This one is genuinely restful rather than sightseeing led. Come for the treatment, not the itinerary.
There is a version of Independence Week marketing that involves a lot of flag imagery and very little thought. We would rather not.
What we did instead was ask a simple question: if the week is about this country, what is the most useful thing a travel company can actually do about it? The answer we landed on was to make it easier to go and see some of it. Har Ghar Tiranga has done a real job of putting the week in front of people. Our small contribution is to remove the friction from the sentence "we should go somewhere".
The five trips above are all inside India. The offer itself is not. If your next trip is Bali or Vietnam or Switzerland, ₹1,947 confirms it just the same.
No asterisks, so here is all of it in one place.
What it covers. Any Trust and Trip journey, domestic or international. There is no code to enter and nothing to claim. Book inside the window and the deposit is ₹1,947.
What it does not change. The price of the trip, the inclusions, the cancellation policy and the refund terms are all exactly as they would be in any other week.
When it ends. The deposit must be paid by 11:59pm IST on 16 August 2026. From midnight the standing rule returns: 30% of the trip total, with a ₹5,000 minimum.
Per trip, not per cart. If you confirm two journeys, that is ₹1,947 each.
The balance. Due before departure on the same schedule as always. Your planner will put the dates in writing before you pay anything.
Still free until you are sure. Getting an itinerary from us costs nothing and always has. The deposit only comes up once you have read the plan and want to hold it.
Open Freedom Trails and see whether any of the five fits. If none of them do, tell a planner where you actually want to go and they will build it in 24 hours, at no cost, before you decide anything.
Happy Independence Day from all of us at Trust and Trip.
