Crafting your travel…Bali starts at ₹25,900 per person and Thailand at ₹33,500. But per night, at honeymoon level, the two land within ₹300 of each other. So price is not the decision. Here is what actually separates them for an Indian couple.
Bali is cheaper to start. ₹25,900 per person against ₹33,500 for Thailand. But at honeymoon level the two land within ₹300 a night of each other. Price is not the tie-breaker here. One place or three is.
Every price on this page is the live per-person price from the Trust and Trip catalogue, on twin sharing, for the itinerary as listed. International flights are in none of them. Neither are visa fees, travel insurance, lunches and dinners outside the stated meal plan, or GST and TCS.
That paragraph matters more than the prices do. A Thailand quote that quietly folds in airfare and a Bali quote that does not will look ₹30,000 apart while describing the same holiday. Most of the confusion around honeymoon pricing is this, and nothing else.
Bali honeymoon packages start at ₹25,900 for four nights split between Kuta and Ubud, with Uluwatu at sunset and the Tirta Gangga water palace. ₹32,200 buys five nights with a five-star candlelight dinner. ₹37,500 adds Nusa Penida and a sunset cruise. The villa version runs ₹44,999 for five nights.
Thailand honeymoon packages start higher, at ₹33,500, for five nights in a four-star Phuket beachfront resort with the Phi Phi islands and James Bond Island. The eight-day itinerary that pairs Krabi with Bangkok is ₹44,800. A premium Phuket couple week is ₹85,000.
Read those two paragraphs and Thailand looks like the expensive one. It isn't.
Divide each trip by its nights and the gap closes almost completely.
Bali's four-night honeymoon works out at ₹6,475 a night. The five-night candlelight version is ₹6,440. Thailand's Phuket couples week is ₹6,700. And Thailand's eight-day honeymoon, the longest and most expensive trip on this page, is ₹6,400 a night. The cheapest of the four.

The headline prices differ by ₹18,900. The nightly rate differs by ₹300. Thailand reads as dearer because the honeymoon itineraries sold there are longer, not because Thailand is an expensive country to be in.
Bali buys one island and permission to stay still. The Bali honeymoon splits its nights between Kuta and Ubud, with Uluwatu at sunset, the Lempuyang gate, Tirta Gangga and the Tegalalang rice terraces. The distances are real. The drive between the southern beaches and Ubud is what that variety costs you, and on a five-night trip a good part of two days goes in a car.
Thailand buys more than one kind of trip. The eight-day honeymoon lands in Phuket and transfers straight to Krabi for four nights: the four-island longtail run, the Emerald Pool and hot springs, and one day left deliberately empty. Then Bangkok for three, with Safari World and a Chao Phraya dinner cruise either side of a second unscheduled day. Islands, beach and a city inside one leave window, on a single change of base.
The catch is that the days are not all yours. Day one is the arrival and the run to Krabi. Day five is the move to Bangkok. Day eight is the flight home. Three of the eight have travel in them.
No. That price is real, and it is the cheapest Thailand trip in the catalogue: four nights across Pattaya and Bangkok in the June-to-September value season, with a coral island day, a dinner cruise and three-star hotels named before you pay. Good trip. Good price. Not a honeymoon.
It is a first-international-trip circuit, and it is built for people who want to see two cities cheaply. If you have seen "Thailand from ₹16,000" advertised and filed it mentally next to a Bali pool villa, you are comparing two different products.
The same is true in reverse. Bali's ₹13,999 entry is a four-night escape with water sports, not the villa in the photographs. Compare honeymoon to honeymoon or the comparison tells you nothing.
Often, yes. Thailand value-season pricing runs June to September, and the saving on that package against the peak window is up to 35%. Bali runs the other way. Its dry season is roughly April to October, which is also when Indian school holidays push the island's prices up.
So a couple locked into July dates is looking at Bali near its peak and Thailand at its cheapest. That answers the question for a lot of people before they have finished asking it. A couple free in December or January gets the reverse. Pick the month first and the country second, and the budget mostly sorts itself out.
Visa rules and entry requirements for both countries change, sometimes at short notice. Any figure printed in an article is hostage to the date you happen to read it. The same goes for TCS on an overseas package, which depends on your own circumstances. Trust and Trip prices both against your actual dates and passports at booking. Treat any operator who does put a confident number on either in a blog post with suspicion.
Flights are the other variable, and honestly they matter more than the difference between these two countries. A Bali fare from Delhi in July and a Bangkok fare from Chennai in September are not comparable numbers, and either can swing your total by more than the ₹18,900 that separates the packages.
Skip Bali if you want a city attached to the beach, if long car transfers will sour the mood, or if one of you needs short days and a compact plan.
Skip Thailand if you want to unpack once and never think about logistics again. Skip it too if the version of Thailand you have been shown is the Pattaya group circuit. That is a real trip for the right people. It is not this one.
Skip both if you only have five days of leave. Two of them go to travel, and a domestic honeymoon will give you more hours on the ground for less money. We would rather say that than sell you a rushed week.
Bali if you want one place, slowly, with the villa doing most of the work. Thailand if the honeymoon should hold more than one idea and moving between them does not bother you.
Price is a weak tie-breaker here, because at honeymoon level there barely is one.
